What's At Bondi Beach Australia
The world-famous Bondi Beach is an absolute must-see for all visitors going to Sydney. If you can get your hammock on a plane, I couldn't think of a nicer beach to be lazy at. That beautiful beach boasts ideal location, thriving surf culture, exciting nightlife and an overall relaxed atmosphere. Bondi acquired the status of icon, proudly symbolizing the Aussie lifestyle.
The beach is on the east coast and situated at Syndey's eastern suburbs. The beach faces the Pacific ocean and located 7km away from Sydney CBD. Running nearly a mile long, it is a wide curved shaped piece of white sand surrounded by cliffs and a walkway. The water is clear and turquoise.
Like many Australian beaches, there is a sfae swimming area marked by those famous red and yellow flags. The life guards will let you know when you stray away from the markers because of the strong rip currents that are in the area. The guards are on duty all year long to make sure you are safe as you play. Bondi is a perfect place to surf and just chill, but the beach has other things to offer as well.
One of the most popular activity in Bondi Beach is surfing. The waves attract all kinds of skill levels and weather permitting, you will find surfers out almost every day. Alng with surfing, you will find volleyball courts, a skate park near the south end and the pavilion at the center. There is also a fitness play ground at the north end.
Near the south end of Bondi Beach you will find the Icebergs Swimming Club. it is a fitness club with a panaramic view on the beach. You will also find bars, restaurants, a 50 meter outdoor swimming pool, gym, massage and sauna.
To discover some of Sydney's other stunning beaches, you can follow the Coastal Walk to Coogee Beach, via Tamarama Beach and Bronte Beach. That scenic cliff walk along Sydney's southern beaches is an absolute must-do.
Very animated and clean, Bondi Beach sometimes is very crowded. There are many bars and cafes that offer all types of food and they have a wonderful view of the beach. There are also fashion and surf shops nearby, so after you have rested in your hammock, ate and done your share of pwople viewing, check out the shops before you head home. The beach markets are also open on Sunday.
