Kovalam Beach:
It is the biggest of all tourist attractions of Trivandrum which is renowned for its three bow-shaped beaches. These beaches are separated from one another by the mountains. Kovalam beach is known for its azure sea, silvery sands and unending queues of palm trees. Light House Beach is the largest of three crescent sizes beaches. It is called so because of its gigantic lighthouse situated on the Kurumkal hill. Hawah Beach is the second largestand Samudra is the smallest of all the three. All three beaches are popular for sunbathing, swimming, spa centers, and water sports activities etc.
Padmanabha Swamy Temple:
This is one of the historical landmarks of this place which is known for its 100 feet grand gopuram. It is one of the 108 divya desams which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The deity is worshiped here with the name Padmanabhaswamy, which is a form of Vishnu in Anananthasayanam (in eternal sleep) posture. This temple is the finest example of Kerala and Dravidian styles of architecture. The prominent attraction of this temple is gopuram which is adorned with gods, goddesses, celestial nymphs, and demons. The best time to visit this temple is during the Navarathri Festival which is held in the months of October or November.
Napier Museum:
It is one of the oldest museums of India which is named after the first governor general of India John Napier. This museum is among the prominent attractions of this place which is visited by scores of tourists because of its rich antique collections and supreme architecture. The blend of traditional Kerala, Chinese, Mughal and Italian architectural styles provides distinctive identity to this building which delights every visitor.
