Puerto Vallarta is a land of contrasting characteristics. On one hand it can be a land of adventure, full o activities like scuba diving or rappelling. On the other hand, it can be a picture of relaxation and tranquility. Puerto Vallarta can be all these to different kinds of travelers. Every year, from December to April, there are humpback whales residing in the waters of Puerto Vallarta on their way to their mating area. Because of its warm waters, Puerto Vallarta is a migratory spot for some of the most diverse marine life such as sea turtles, dolphins, manta rays and whales. Although tourists mainly dominate the beaches, sea creatures rule Puerto Vallarta waters. In order for guests to see their beautiful marine life, scuba diving packages have been set up in advance for guests. Hotels such as the Playa Azul Golf Scuba Spa Hotel and Casa Velas include this in their list of activities available. The water package of Casa Velas includes snorkeling, kayaking, nature walks, yoga along with scuba diving. Another hotel, The Grand Velas, has a package which includes deep sea-fishing, sailing and whale watching along with its scuba package. Packages such as these help the traveler decide what activities to take part in during the trip especially for those who want to do everything whilst in the area.

Hotels near Yelapa, Puerto Vallarta’s Famous Beaches

Yelapa, Mexico has long been a tourist hot spot and this isn’t such a surprise. This remote, slow paced village is dependent on its beach for things such as tourism and fishing. The beaches are world-famous and are nestled in an isolated cove which is considered as the 7th largest bay in the world. It is an ideal place for snorkeling and lounging around its beachfront. Boutique Hotels have been sprouting out in the area and these, in comparison to more commercialized hotels, are more personalized and intimate. Verana, for example, is a rustic area which offers excellent food. Its restaurant has access to the freshest catch of the day and its margaritas are an excellent finish too. There’s also Hotel Lagunita, another boutique hotel which is set in another rustic tropical seclusion. The area is quite isolated and don’t have basics like telephones or televisions to disturb guests who are looking for ultimate relaxation. Hotels such as Casa Rosa, Casa Sol and Yelapa Oasis are also great options to consider whilst in Yelapa.
