Start The Honeymoon Before You Leave The Wedding



No I'm not talking about the story. I'm talking about the reception. Adding a touch of your honeymoon locale to your reception dcor is a wonderful way to tie everything togetherfrom the wedding to the honeymoon. It not just answers the age-old (and over-asked) question of where you will be going on your honeymoon, it celebrates it! Regardless of where you will be traveling, there are plenty of ways to incorporate your honeymoon destination into your decor, especially the wedding centerpieces. Even if you're not planning a destination wedding, you can at least have a destination-themed reception, and let the honeymoon begin right after you say "I do."

Mountains: Meandering to the mountains for your post-wedding getaway? The Poconos, as well as other mountain retreats, have long been a favorite honeymoon destination. Celebrate your love of the outdoors and sense of adventure with rustic centerpieces of twigs and dried flowers. Whether you leave them natural or paint them, it's a simple do-it-yourself centerpiece idea that is an elegant addition to your dcor.

Beach: If you're headed for a honeymoon in the tropics, your mind might already be slipping away to the sandy beaches and ocean breezes right there at the reception. So why not include some tropical touches to your reception centerpieces? Headed to Hawaii? Use orchids in your arrangement or fill the vase with lava rocks or sea shells instead of beads. For a subtle touch, use watercolor vases. Or go bold with sand castle tea lights for your beach centerpieces.

Choosing a reception theme like "A Night In Paris" or "African Safari" would be a dream to create for any party planner and your guests will feel like they're almost there.

Natural Wonders: Visiting one of the natural wonders of the world for your honeymoon is definitely something to look forward to. Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, the Great Pyramids, and even the Colosseum of Rome would be excellent choices that can be easily brought into your reception dcor.

Even enjoyment escapes to Disney World, a farm or a cruise can be the stimulation for your celebration! So let the honeymoon commence before you leave the marriage ceremony. Despite of where you will be traveling, there are plenty of ways to incorporate your honeymoon destination into your decor, especially the wedding centerpieces.
