On a trip to some locations in Asian countries once, my friends and I went through Thailand before going to Cambodia the day right after. We walked through Khaosan Road to get a feel of the night life in Thailand. We were handled to spectacle so invigorating this gave everybody a new lease on life. That's essentially why people travel, to reenergize and be strengthened to undergo the normal day to day activities of life.
We saw gaudy and elaborate pieces of jewelry for sale as souvenirs, got fired up by the vivid neon lights of the pubs and dining places lining the street, and marveled at the fried scorpions and grasshoppers sold on little pushcarts lit by candles for the daring and adventurous tourists to experience. We made friends with our tuk-tuk driver, the retailers, others travelers even with people from our very own country as we ran into them in the street.
The minibus trip to Cambodia was a long and dusty one. The sun set on us and we passed via areas that had only the moon to illuminate the night. Talking with our fellow passengers, we got a feel of how their culture is through their tales. Touring the Cambodian temples and to be at the foot of historic architecture was just awe-inspiring. It was fun to talk to the locals and the souvenirs bought with our 'dolla-h' actually invaluable for all the stories associated with it.
The scenarios and events that can happen in each and every trip are always diverse and special. Plans can either go smoothly or with a few humps on the road.
