Saundersfoot Pembrokeshire Abounds With Blue Flag Beaches
Between the Welsh resorts, Amroth and Tenby, on the south west coast of Wales, you will find Saundersfoot - Pembrokeshire. This is definitely the county's most popular seaside village and it hosts thousands of visitors every year. Due to its beauty, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park has made it a conservation area.

Having been ranked as a National Park, Pembrokeshire has the most blue flag beaches in the whole of Wales. This county boasts more Seaside awards than any other area in Britain. Furthermore in 2003, 26 Pembrokeshire beaches won 'Tidy Britain Group Seaside' awards.
Saundersfoot has catered for tourists for so long that there are lots of attractions. You will find fascinating antique shops and craft shops, plus a host of places where you have a bite to eat and watch the world go by. Saundersfoot is full of ice cream parlors, restaurants and cafes, many of which are located on the beachfront. A highlight is the weekly Thursday Saundersfoot Country Market which is held near the harbor at The Captain's Table. This event has been a tourist favorite for the past 17 years. There are all sorts of goodies on sale, from farm fresh produce to freshly baked bread and sweet treats.
During the summer months the beaches really get into full swing. On clear days the views across the bay are something to behold. With miles of shimmering sands, Saundersfoot's main beach is a favorite. However, a dog ban is imposed from May to September on this beach. Nevertheless, dog lovers and their pooches are welcome at Coppet Hall beach.
With six beaches on offer, it's obvious that there are a host of water sports and other aquatic adventures to enjoy. See the lovely coastline from a different viewpoint on a boat trip, or do some deep-sea fishing. Guided boat trips offer the chance to sea lots of marine wildlife and beautiful birds.
For those who enjoy walking, there are many great walks to choose from at Saundersfoot - Pembrokeshire. The most popular is the 'Miners Walk' which offers two versions - 5 miles or 10 miles. This is a fascinating excursion that offers a peek into the life of a 19th Century miner.
