Mazatlan Real Estate Expert, James Hopkins, Predicts Great Opportunities In Mazatlan For Investment



If you are you a North American looking for solid real estate opportunities, or a great place to retire, than, according to Jim Hopkins, 2010 might be the time consider buying real estate in Mazatlan. Hopkins, a Mazatlan Real estate expert, recently joined with other experts from TOPMexicoRealEstate - "certified professionals that specialize in guiding new buyers through the Mexican purchasing" - to answer a series of questions concerning predictions about the real estate market in the various parts of Mexico for the end of 2009 and the upcoming year. For Mazatlan, Hopkins predicts some great opportunities with price reductions for people considering Retiring in Mexico, investing, or buying a winter or summer home. The opportunities in the Mazatlan market appeal to a wide range of clients - Canadian, American, or Mexican.

Hopkins describes the possibilities for next year as "exciting." Condo projects are continuing to go up on the beachfront, meaning there are a lot of options. Mazatlan Real estate still offers very competitive prices. On top of this, the current slow-down in sales, caused by the world recession, has prompted builders and other sellers to offer price reductions on top of the already low prices, and to show a "willingness to negotiate."

"With the opening of the new convention center," observes Hopkins, "the ongoing construction of many new beach front condo projects and the price reductions in our already very competitively valued market, there is great potential."

Many tourists who have visited Mazatlan, fall in love with the city, and decide to investigate the possibility of living here either full time or part time. Like the summer, Mazatlan is expecting a high number of visitors, meaning a lot of people will be looking. Hopkins points out that there are opportunities in Mazatlan for a "broad gamut of interests." Soon-to-be retiring Canadians and Americans will find ideal retirement properties, at very good prices, as mentioned above. Likewise, Mazatlan real estate presents solid investment opportunities; while the market has shown study appreciation, the current price reductions are an opportunity to buy at prices similar to those a few years ago, before they continue on their way back up.

The Mazatlan market also offers opportunities for Mexican buyers looking for a summer home. Hopkins points out that one factor connects all types of buyers interested in Mazatlan: great quality for a good price.


"Our buyers are Canadian, American and Mexican," says Hopkins. "At this point, all are interested in value and our market certainly has that to offer."

Currently there is a lot of interest in Mazatlan. The high tourist numbers this past winter and summer - which were the highest in Mexico, suggest that the same should be true in the 2009-2010 winter season. This means that interest will be even higher; many buyers are realizing what Mazatlan can offer, and anyone considering buying in the next while should make sure that they do not miss out on Mazatlan, especially now while the conditions for buying are better than ever.
