Kenilworth Warwickshire A Place For Comfort


A modern beginning.


If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, a visit to Kenilworth - Warwickshire may do the trick. It is a small town in central England that consists of about 24,000 people. It is filled with quite green areas and other historic things to enjoy.

The background.

After the Norman Conquest this small city sprung about 50 years later. Geoffrey De Clinton was given land by King Henry and this was the beginning. There was a small settlement though the time is unknown that inhabited the Forest of Arden. This village was made up of 100 villagers. But, the name Kenilworth was not always it. It was once called Chinewrde noted by the book Doomsday. The whole town is legendarily affiliated with Robert Dudley along with Queen Elizabeth the first.

Arrival

There are no more railroad stations today that exist here for the public. They closed down January 1965. Fortunately, the Birmingham International Airport in England is available for your use. It is about a 10 to 20 mile drive to your destination. There are vast areas of rolling bright green hills and forest for you to see.

The central allurement.

The castle that Queen Elizabeth inhabited is located here. It is one of the top huge and impressive historic landmarks available to you. It was remodeled for entertainment. Early Tudor Kings and Lancastrian have all been in this castle. Walk around and view the large garden areas and many rooms that this castle has.

Other things to do.

Kenilworth has a huge art theater called the talisman for 156 people to seat. Between the years of 2000 and 2010 it has earned 5 NODA awards. Once the show has finished stroll down to the Clock in the middle of town. It was built for G. M Turners late wife in her remembrance. Unfortunately it was damaged by a landmine in 1940. Another place here is abbey fields. It has 68 acres of land including pools, play areas, and lakes for your enjoyment. Do something like kite flying or lay across the green grass to read a book on a warm breezy day.

The weather.

England has always been known for the beautiful white winters they get. Kenilworth is no different. When it gets cold there, it is cold. Weather in the winter ranges from 4 degrees Celsius and up with lots of snowfall included. During the summer make sure to cool off in one of the many pools because it will get hot. Records have soared in the past years.

On a good note.

Today Kenilworth - Warwickshire is known as a small market town. There are a bunch of little shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars to explore. Its sits about 90 miles north of London commuters are now using it to pass through. Remember to relax and enjoy the wonderful green areas that this town has to offer.
