Island Honeymoons Destination Ideas That Are More Exciting And Uniquely Creative

When you are planning a wedding, you have a lot of things that you have to make arrangements for. From the dress that the bride will wear, to the gifts that you'll provide for the groomsmen, there are a lot of preparations that have to be attended to. Even couples that want to keep things simple and inexpensive still have to worry about where they're going to go on their honeymoon, and thanks to the sluggish economy, many of these couples are thinking that they will have to stay close to home because of the high costs of travel. There are still island honeymoons that are possible on a budget, and here are some of the thriftiest ideas.

When many couples think of island honeymoons, they assume that they will have to choose between the big three: Hawaii, Jamaica and the Bahamas. However there are many more honeymoon destination ideas available, you just have to know where and when to look. In the past few years, the islands of the South Pacific have become increasingly popular as destinations that are more private and luxurious. Because these destinations are still being developed for tourists, they are still offering deals and packages that make them accessible to any budget.

One of the most popular destinations for island honeymoons in the South Pacific is a place called Bora Bora. Every bit as exotic and mysterious as the name might suggest, this island is the perfect place to come for a blend of luxury and culture that you can't find anywhere else in the world. Prices for reserving a private honeymoon bungalow right on the beach are more reasonable than you might expect, especially if you make plans to arrive during the island's off season. Bora Bora is home to the beautiful blue lagoons that you see in so many movies and post cards, and with a little planning, you can enjoy the fairy tale for real.

Another one of the most popular destinations for island honeymoons in the South Pacific is a place called Moorea. This is a smaller island, located very close to the larger island of Bora Bora. This island is perfect for the honeymooners that want a tropical paradise to explore all by themselves. The small island can be completed traversed in just around three hours, and offers countless hidden waterfalls, tropical flowers and animal species to discover, as well as sweet smelling pineapple plantations and beautiful beaches.
