When I think of flights, my favorite destination is Cape Town in South Africa. Cape Town has three characteristics, the refinement of a new world, the vibrancy of a third world and charm that hails from the past.
The wine estates found in Paarl, Constantia, Stellenbosch and Franschoek separate themselves with any other wine estates worldwide. Visitors from all four corners of the earth have been there to taste arguable some of the finest wines, brandies and ports that are crafted on these estates.
For so, me of the most amazing viewing that the world has to offer, you simply must get to the top of Table mountain! You will be in awe of the beauty that encompasses you as you look around the mountain.
Being an ardent fan of history means that I must visit Cape Town. There are some of the most informative museums there that all have such vivid tales to tell, the guides there are extremely knowledgeable about the country and the history of the place.
The friendliness of the Cape Town residents is something to be admired and copied. Dining is taken to new heights in Cape Town restaurants. All of this gels and combines to make Cape Town one of the superior vacation destinations known to mankind.
Kenya is the next port of call and this country boasts the most amazing wildlife adventure on mother earth. The Serengeti which means endless plains in Masaai. It covers terrain from The South Western region of Kenya right to the North Western region of Tanzania. Due to the scenery and the movement of well over one million animals across this area and crossing The Mara river to obtain rain makes this one of the 7 tourist travel wonders of the world today.
Love the pyramids? Want to see where Pharaoh was born and reigned? Then Egypt is next on our list of stop overs. One of the 7th wonders of the world reside here and that would be the great Pyramid of Giza.
Next is the West Coast of Namibia, Swakopmund. This place takes the meaning of quaint to new levels. You can go dune boarding or ride a camel. You can also play golf on one of the five only grass desert golf courses around the world.
Again the shopping is to die for and you can buy anything from crystal goods to hand woven material and there are many leather stores to purchase wallets and the like from. These are some of the places I would visit on my flights to Africa.
