Gold Coast Surfer's Paradise For Your Next Holiday
You can barely think about a trip to Queensland without considering at least spending a few days on the Gold Coast. Often thought of as the jewel of the region, the Gold Coast is home to the ever popular Surfer's Paradise, a very popular place for tourists and natives a like.
There is a lot to do and see in this region; however it is very popular and touristy and if you are looking for a subdued holiday, then the Gold Coast region might be a place you only want to visit for a day or two before heading to a more tranquil and less touristy region of the Queensland. After all, this type of excitement is not the perfect getaway for everyone.
Surfer's Paradise offers something for everyone with non-stop action and vibrancy that seems to fill the air. In this area you will find an abundance of theme parks such as Dreamworld, Water World as well as many family based activities as well. Those traveling with teens will love this region because it offers much to do for the whole family.
You will find shopping galore along the street there as well as an incredible open air market where you can find upscale designer items and some silly cheap stuff to take home as souvenirs. The nightlife can be incredibly busy and will provide any one with endless diversions if they are interested. During the Indy races in October the place is even more packed with people and fun.
You will naturally at some point go to the beach and enjoy the water. The surf there is absolutely incredible. So much so that there are regular competitions and a lot of big names will show up for these. You can get a surf lesson if you are feeling brave too. You can get bored there, if you are absolutely set on doing nothing but relaxing by the beach. And there is nothing wrong with that at all.
