Family Vacations at Las Vegas

Vegas may not be on top of everyone’s list when the idea of good, clean fun comes to mind but one might be surprised that a part of Vegas offers so many amusements and activities with the younger crowd as its market. For accommodations, search online on which hotels in Vegas are child-friendly. Many hotels in Las Vegas are casino hotels, so if it doesn’t seem to be the kind of crowd you want to expose your child in, then opt to stay in a cozier non-gaming resort instead. One of the prime places to visit with the little ones is the Stratosphere Tower. It offers a bird’s eye and 360 degree view of Las Vegas with roller coasters and fun rides to thrill those energetic bundlesThere’s also the M&M World found at the Showcase mall, where kids will find the history of the candy and also hoard on some of their own for the rest of the trip. Kids will also enjoy Ron Lee’s World of Clowns, the fountains at Bellagio, The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, Adventuredome, White Tiger Habitat and the Lion Habitat at MGM Grand. Guidance is still an important factor for a family-friendly and safe vacation. Vegas is dominantly an adult world, and kids should be guided in order to instill the right values for the long run.

Touring Downtown Las Vegas

Las Vegas has a hidden side shadowed by the brightness of the Vegas Strip, and it’s called Downtown. Downtown Vegas is an interesting sight in the sense that one will see what Vegas used to be and what it can be as the Downtown has all of Vegas’ old time brick and mortar hotels and casinos, as well as most of their high rise buildings. Downtown provides the feel of professional but at the same time intimate business affairs, combining work and play with its business establishments and gaming places all in one area. Most of the hotels are a charming and quaint mix-up of colors, lights and sounds, more mellow than the Strip. Brick and mortar casinos here are connected to each other through the bright lights that once dubbed this section as the ‘glitter gulch’. This is probably why a lot of people still take a tour towards Fremont Street, to remember the identity of the place apart from what they currently see at the Strip now. A new project is being set up presently by the government of Vegas and will hold several tourist attractions such as restaurants and shops just between Fremont and the Strip. Neonopolis will soon be servicing locals and vacationers and will be a more opulent and expensive form of entertainment for everyone.

Dining with the Chefs in Las Vegas

Everything is in Vegas even when food is concerned. From American, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Pan-Asian, French and everything in between, Vegas has it all. Different dining experiences from the casual, buffet, formal and specialty dining are a dime a dozen in Vegas. The food seems to imitate the blending of unique cultures found in Vegas that it has become in recent years, the apex of culinary taste in Nevada. One should try the Lutece which is headed by world class Chef David Feau and is found in an equally world class setting, the Venetian. There’s also the Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill after its namesake who has equal regards for the casual and elegant dining experience. Chef Andre Rochat continues to give us the wonders of his cooking with Andre’s, giving unique flavors to relatively wholesome food. Delmonico Steakhouse isn’t far behind as it is headed by Chef Emeril Lagasse and his now famous creole flavor. Other famous restaurants include the House of Blues on the Strip, the award winning restaurant found in the Stratosphere Tower, Top of the World and the contemporary Eiffel Tower Restaurant on the 11th floor of the Eiffel Tower Replica of Paris-Las Vegas Hotel. When the best of culinary delight is concerned, take a trip down to Las Vegas for an unforgettable experience for even the most meticulous of taste buds!

Las Vegas Sights and Sounds

The whole place is a manmade wonder, a stunning example of what man can do with its structures, sounds and entertainment skills. The area seems to have a mini-version of all the places to see in the world. Fly off to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower without leaving the city by going to the Eiffel Tower Replica in Paris Las Vegas. The Eiffel tower is a premier sight and even has a restaurant at its 11th floor to provide its diners a romantic view of Vegas. For a taste of the opulent, the largest golden nugget can be seen at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. The Mirage Hotel also gives access to a volcano eruption every 15 minutes, an enticing sight no matter how many times it’s witnessed. Even if you won’t even gamble, Fremont Street is a treat for those who love the hustle and bustle of Old Vegas complete with neon lights and the sound of slot machines. There’s also the CBS Television City at MGM Grand Hotel, free entertainers at the Miracle Mile shops at the Strip and street performers while shopping at the Grand Canal Shoppes. Most of these attractions require very minimal or no fees at all, so take advantage and roam through Vegas as if with a vengeance.
