There are many famous places in Thailand. Among the important visiting places Bangkok and Ayuthaya occupy the number one position. While Bangkok is the economic, social and cultural capital of Thailand, Ayuthaya is the old Thai capital.

Ayuthaya has one of the most impressive ruins in the world. These cities are an integral part of Thailand and contribute immensely to its economic as well as cultural growth. Thailand is rich in natural beauty and lush environment which can be seen from its beautiful locations, beaches and hills. Thailand is religiously inclined to Buddhism with ninety five percent of its population being Buddhists. Doi Suthep temple and Sri Mahamariamman temple proudly stand as its religious symbols. These two are also important reverential locations in Thailand. A visit to these temples facilitates an intimate interaction with the culture and religion of Thailand.

Another place in Thailand which is widely known is Koh Samui. This small place is located on the island coast of Thailand flaunting its pretty coral beaches and its serene atmosphere which is loved by one and all. It stands as yet another proud part of Thailand. The other two spectacular locations which command a necessary visit are Phuket and Pattaya. Both these places are extremely famous for their beauty and serenity.
