Disney Grad Nite For Graduation Seniors
High School Graduation is an important even that deserves an important celebration like Disney Grad Nite! Well that is what the Disney Grad Nite has to offer to seniors. It is six and a half hours of festivities, from 10:30pm to 5am. There are attractions, entertainment and music to fit every style!
Grad Nite was first introduced in 1961, when Disneyland invited 8000 students from 28 schools in Los Angeles after the regular opening hours to start celebrating their graduation. Since then, Disney Grad Nite has grown into an all-night party, with a number of dance floors and giveaways.
The main dance floors on this night are situated on Main Street and in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. This second one is usually sponsored and hosted by a local radio station, KIIS-FM. The usual music is replaced by the year's top of the charts and is played by a DJ. Those are open starting at 10:30pm.
Finding a spot on the dance floor should not be a problem, since there is about five of them open throughout the park! Sleeping Beauty's Castle dance floor usually welcomes the local radio station KIIS-FM, which entertains the crowd all night with its groovy DJ!
To be in sync with the merriment, the usual decorations have all been replaced by more suitable attire. The entire Magic Kingdom is illuminated by thousands of lights right out of the Fantasmic lights show parade.
Do you wish that your favorite bands and singers could be there with you? Well your wish has been granted! Live performances will also be featured from artists such as: Katy Perry, Ne-Yo, Fall Out Boy, Simple Plan and Metro Station.
With so many graduating students enjoying themselves at the same time, precautions are a must. That is why there are some rules the seniors will have to compel to, to be allowed into the excitement. All bags will be search for weapons or drugs, and an appropriate dress code will be mandatory.
Even though it is a joyful event, some incidents did happen in the past. Many students have been turned away at the gate for possession of alcohol or drugs. Some have passed out during presentations, or in attractions, due to the lack of sleep. So some adjustments had to be made on which rides are to stay open or not.
Overall, Disney Grad Nite is a great entertaining celebration for high school seniors to enjoy. It is by far the most popular of its kind. Students have been enjoying it for now 47 years, and hopefully for many more to come!
