The beaches are world-famous and are nestled in an isolated cove which is considered as the 7th largest bay in the world. Here, one can do all sorts of water activities such as snorkeling in its clean waters. Hotels found in the area are mostly boutique hotels and offer some of the most personalized service for guests. Verana, a hotel in the area, is famous for its fresh seafood specials. Budget hotels in the area are also close to equally cheap nightspots, attractions and restaurants. One such place is Vallarta Sun Hostel which is own and ran by a backpacking couple who knows what adventurers prioritize most (i. e. cheapness). One can help himself to free breakfast and high speed internet in the lounge. Another good but cheap hotel is Oasis Hostel, which is just 15 minutes away from Downtown and old Vallarta. Other hotels which give great value for money is Hotel Hortencia, Hotel Bernal, Casa Corazon, Hotel Encino, Hotel Azteca, Hotel Suites La Siesta and Viva la Vida Hostel. The rates will be about $20. 00 per night for a single bed rooms and will lessen even more during Puerto Vallartas low seasons.
